Audiologist
Dr. Andrew Engelhardt knows what it's like to sit on both sides of the audiology booth. Born with progressive hearing loss, he now helps adults hear better at Sound Hearing Audiology & Speech in Jericho.

Dr. Andrew Engelhardt's path to audiology started as a patient, not a student. He grew up with progressive hearing loss and was treated by Dr. Robin Zeller in the early 2000s, years before the two would work side by side. That experience shapes everything about how he practices today. He has worn hearing devices himself and has been a cochlear implant user since 2019, so when patients describe the frustration of a noisy restaurant or the adjustment period with new hearing aids, he gets it firsthand.
At Sound Hearing Audiology & Speech, he focuses on hearing care for adults, from comprehensive evaluations to hearing aid fittings, with clinical training that included a placement at the VA Medical Center.
